Pricing and Tagging
1. Gather your materials
--Hangers – Cardstock
– Pins – Ziploc Bags, tape, zip ties
2. Prep Items (see below for details;remember the better your items look, the more likely they will sell :) )
3. Print Tags
– Click this link to download and print your tags: MCC Printable Tags
Printing Instructions:
– Each tag requires a consignor number, gender, size, and description. Please use numerical sizes (12m, 4T, instead of S, M, L)
– Be descriptive. Use brand names, color, and clothing type when describing your item.
· For example, “Red Gymboree Christmas Shirt” is better than “Red Top”.
· This will help us if a tags gets separated from its item during the sale.
– Set your price. Use the original price and brand as your guide. Price 1/3 to 1/4 of original price. PRICE TO SALE!
· We have two pricing guides referenced on the FAQ page if you need them.
– Please use $1.00 increments and our minimum price is $1.00. If you price an item in a .50 increment we will reduce your item to the lower dollar amount.
– 1/2 price day
· Each consignor may choose to let their items go for 1/2 price or not.
· If you DO NOT want your items to sale for 1/2 price, please circle “No” beside “Discount” on your tag. If you DO want your item to sell for 1/2 price, please circle “Yes” beside “Discount”.
· You MAY pick and choose which items will sale for 1/2 price and which items will not.
5. Attach Tags
– Attach tags to the upper, right side of each item with safety pins. Use packaging tape for items in bags or toys.
– PLEASE no staples or straight pins.
6. Drop Off
– Sort your items by gender and size (smallest to largest) prior drop off.
– See Drop Off page for drop off times and further details.

Printing Instructions:
- Print tags on cardstock. We will not accept tags on regular paper, as they rip and tags are lost.
- You may use white cardstock, pastel, or neon colors. No dark colors please!
- However, make ALL of your tags the same color.
- Tags will print 8 to a page so you can judge how much cardstock you will need.
- Cut apart on the black lines.
- Tip: In Word you may type in your consignor number, clothing size and use “shapes” to circle your gender and your half-price preference so all you have to hand write is your item description and price. This will save you lots of time!

Prepping Your Items
Prepping Clothing
- All clothing needs to be clean without wrinkles and pleasant smelling (smoke free) and stain free.
- Please be sure all snaps are snapped, zippers zipped, and buttons buttoned. This will help us in checking these parts of the clothing at drop off.
- All clothing must be hung with hangers open to the left.
- Tags should be pinned to the garments right side with a safety pin. No tape or straight pins please.
- Please use pant hangers with clips or regular hangers with large safety pins to secure pants to hanger. No clothes pins please
- If you have a set of 2 or more items please rubber band them together. They must have one price.
- If your outfit has matching bows, socks, etc. please place in a Ziploc bag and pin to the garment.
Prepping Toys
- Be sure it has all pieces and parts.
- Be sure it works. If it needs batteries please provide them. The buyer will not know if it works without them and will not buy.
- If the toy has loose pieces, please place those in a Ziploc bag and attach them with packing tape or a zip tie. Please write your consignor # on bag in case it is separated.
- Secure tag to toys with packing tape at the top so we can still cut the price at the bottom.
Prepping Shoes
- Clean shoes (wash, wipe down, whatever is needed)
- Pack smaller shoes in Ziploc bag and pin tag to outside of the bag.
- If shoes will not fit in Ziploc bag, use a zip tie. Then pin tag to shoe string or appropriate spot.
- If you wash shoes first please be sure they are completely dry before putting them in bag. They can mildew.
Prepping Baby Equipment
- Again, must include batteries if needed.
- Be Clean.
- Be free of smells or stains.
- Attach all accessories.
- Big items will sell better when set up. So please set them up at drop off.
- Check for recalled items. PLEASE
- Secure tag with safety pin or clear packing tape at top so we can still cut off bottom.
Prepping Books, DVDs, Games, and Puzzles
- Attach tags to books, DVDs, games, or puzzles.
- Board games and puzzles must include all pieces with box taped shut.
- Board puzzles may be placed in Ziploc bag with tag attached to the outside.
- Set of books may also be placed in Ziploc bags or with 2 strong rubber bands.
- Please secure tags at top so we can cut bottom.
Prepping Bedding and Blankets
- Bedding sales best when hung across a hanger for shoppers to inspect. Lay comforter across hanger and pin tag it.
- Sets with multiple pieces can be placed in Ziploc Big Bags or comforter bags with tag attached to the outside, only taped at the top.

- Boys and Girls clothing-infant to size 16 (limit of 20 items per size, per gender in newborn to 24 months only)
- Maternity Clothes
- Wind breakers & Light Jackets- can be consigned in the Fall and Spring
- Children’s Bedding and Sleeping Bags
- Clean Baby Equipment-Strollers, swings, infant carriers, high chairs, pack n plays, bouncy seats, stroller systems, etc.
- Car Seats, Booster Seats, and Infant Seats- See recall info
- Bottles/Sippy Cups- must be in unopened package (new)
- Furniture-gliders, toddler beds, rockers
- Books- packaged in Ziploc bags
- Video Games, Movies, and DVDs
- Toys- Small and large. Bicycles, ride-ons, tents, play houses, kitchens, small slides
All toys needing batteries must have them. The buyer will want to know if it works.Consignors need a minimum of 25 items (max 200) OR a total of $50 of items to sell.
Fall/Winter Sale Only
- Heavy coats
- Gloves, snow boots, winter boots, scarves
- Halloween Costumes
Spring/ Summer Sale Only
- Swim Cover ups
- Sandals, water shoes, etc
- Clean, non-picked swim suits
Items we do not accept:
- No out dated or worn out items (stained, holes, missing buttons, etc.) To ensure quality items we will check clothing and be strict on this.
- No cribs, per the law
- No toys with broken pieces
- No diaper genies/bins
- No adult items
- No undergarments
- No items that smell of cigarette smoke
- No stuffed animals of any kind (including interactive items)

Tips
- Pricing- Price to Sale!!! Price items 1/2 to 1/3 of its original price or lower if you really want it to sale. The secret of selling your items is your price. Price low and sale most or all of your items.
- Check, check, check- No one wants to buy stained items. Please check your items carefully.
- Check for broken parts- Toys should not be broken. Missing and animal with a Little People Farm is okay, a Bus with a missing wheel is not.
- Press your clothes- The better it looks, the more likely it will sale. You want it to look as much like new as possible.
- Hang outfits together- Put the top on one hanger and pin the pants to another hanger. Then rubber band them together so the shopper can see both. It helps to be able to view it as an outfit.
- Save- If your items do not sale this time save for the next sale. Different shoppers may need your sizes.
