What is a Children’s Consignment Sale?
A children’s consignment sale is a great way for you to rid your home of the things your children have outgrown and earn some money. We are not a garage sale and you will not have to be present to sell your items. We are different than a consignment store because you get back a larger percentage of your earnings in a week’s time instead of a season. We handle everything from venue and advertising to merchandising and shopper payments. It is a great opportunity to buy and sell excellent quality clothing, toys, and much more at amazing prices.
Is for children's items only?
NO! As of the Spring/Summer 2023 Sale, we began accepting women's clothing as well!
How much do consignors earn?
Consignors earn 70% of the selling price of items. We deduct a $8 consignment fee.
Do I price my items or does Mother’s Cupboard?
We offer “VIP tagging” for those who have great items to sale but no time to do it. We limit the tagging service to 10 consignors. If you choose this service you earn 50% of your sale price.
How do I know how much to price my items for?
1/2 to 1/3 of the original price is a good rule of thumb…unless you really want it out of your closets. Remember, this is a resale. People want quality items for a fraction of the cost. This is only a suggestion. Few people will pay half or more at consignment.

Why do I need to print my tags on cardstock?
Paper tags tear easily and often fall off and are lost. We WILL NOT accept tags on regular paper. Tags will print 8 to a page so you can judge how much cardstock you will need.
Do I need a drop off appointment?
Yes. We have drop off appointments set by the hour. When you register, please choose your top time slots that you would like to drop off. We will take 10 drop offs per hour. We will email you back with your top choice that is still available.
What do I need at drop off?
Other than your items, you need to be ORGANIZED! Please make sure clothing is separated by gender and size BEFORE drop off. This will save time.
What if I miss pick up?
If you want your items back please pick them up during scheduled pick up times. Items not picked up will be donated to charity.
Why can’t I bring children to pre-sale?
Due to the high number of shoppers during this small span of time, we ask that children do not attend for safety purposes. If you need sizing help you may bring a piece of clothing for the children you are shopping for.
Is all the work worth it?
YES!!! Once you start doing it, it will go quickly. Your reward will be uncluttered closets and cash to show for it!
